April 19, 2024 - Chandon de Briailles Tasting: Again fresher than 2019, very tense on the palate. The intense spiciness is back again similar to 18 vs 19 Lavières, all while remaining elegant and poised. Slightly dryer tannins at the back that don't feel that intrusive.

March 6, 2024 - Nice improvement from my last bottle 2yrs ago. Is forward and inviting, but has really firmed up and narrowed. Shows a mix of red cherry fruit and even some pomegranate. Chiseled firm acidity on the palate, with fine somewhat dry tannins on the back. Hints of forest notes add a nice layer of complexity. Can drink or hold, I feel this is showing terroir nicely.

March 2, 2024 - Prägnante rote Früchte, dezentes Tannine, feines Aroma, mittlere Länge

May 28, 2023 - Super short tasting note, because I respect your time. This wine is not ready.

Meadows is right - give it another five years or so.

It has excellent structure but it's past the initial youthful exuberance and will need time. I don't think this is a wine for decades, though - but a little bit of maturity will make a big difference.

November 7, 2022 - Tasting at Chandon de Briailles with Claude de Nicolay (Savigny-lès-Beaune, France): Light red color. Delicate red fruit nose. In the mouth, light red fruit and an earthy, tannic finish. Sweeter than the ‘21 Savigny but less volume. Interesting soil/fruit mix. Very persistent clinging soil.
