  September 6, 2020 - Zingy green apple and lemon pith. Has a very linear quality with some lime bitterness on the finish. Plenty of interest here

  July 15, 2020 - Baby Bandito Keep On Punching 2019 Testalonga - Il sorso è una vera ondata di freschezza, che spinge su una generale potenza gustativa. Pera, mela, pesca, qualche tocco minerale e un leggero pétillant, lasciandolo nel bicchiere vira sull'agumato. Da abbinare a piatti di piatti di pesce di media struttura non troppo sapidi.

  June 9, 2020 - Both inspirational and apt, this name; Craig’s ‘entry-level’ Chenin provides punchy acidity in spades! Entry-level is certainly a bit of a mis-nomer here, being that fruit is sourced from his oldest Chenin vines (planted in 1972) and this wine has the structure to go for many years in the cellar. Joining that sharp yet precise acid are bold citrus notes, green apple, and a wicked streak of crushed stone/saline. It definitely leans towards Savienneres on the Chenin-style spectrum with its prominent savoury side. With some time in air the wine does flush out a bit, but this is a young pup and still pretty tight. It’s hard not to get a sense of the quality packed in here though, and even though I talk about future promise that’s certainly not to say it isn’t delicious now! A brilliant food wine, I should add...
