February 18, 2023 - Surprisingly still alive - a hint of warm fruit to accompany the resin-y palate, but not worth drinking more than half a glass.

January 28, 2023 - Still alive - remarkably! A surprisingly full and warm raspberry fruit on the nose to start with, tho this faded away after about an hour. The first glass was enjoyable tho!

December 12, 2022 - Ruby core with brick rim. Nose of black fruits but overwhelmingly its savoury with black tapenade, dried earth, dried leaves and floral notes too. The palate is gorgeous with blackberry fruit still present but with a cornucopia of umami, olive, bbq meats and long, balanced finish. This is certainly fully mature but enough fruit to keep going a little longer.

March 28, 2021 - I love opening old bottles of wine and wondering what to expect. This doesn't disappoint with wonderful aromas that burst from the glass with red and black fruit, black olive and tapenade, dried French herbs including tarragon, rosemary, oregano. The palate has sweet blackcurrant, blackberry fruit but with bright acidity to lift it and the herbs and olive flavours emerging on the finish.

April 5, 2020 - Still has a good colour, nose of blackberry, Victoria plum, blackcurrant, violets, earth, damp leaf, forest floor. The palate is delicious with lots of black fruit, floral notes, some cooked meat plus spices and some pepperiness on the lovely long finish. This has tons of structure still, no hurry to drink it up.
