July 17, 2021 - Col del Lupo Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Deligo, Dry, Valdobbiadene DOCG: Retail $28. 100% Glera. While I am not typically a fan of the “Dry” (meaning “a little sweet”) style, I am particularly enamored with this wine. A tiny producer in the heart of the hills outside of Valdobbiadene, this wine just screams “character.” Pale straw in the glass with ripe peach and golden delicious apple oozing over the brim, this wine is quite tart on the palate, mitigated by that extra sugar in the dosage. Fruity, precise, and delicious with a bit of chalky minerality on the finish. Lovely.
