March 30, 2020 - With this Gavi dei Gavi featuring 100% Cortese grape which is cultivated in parts of South Eastern Piemonte, Italy. Very crisp and refreshing, medium bodied and on the palate meyer lemon, minerals, and salinity, aka seashells just washed up on the beach.

July 24, 2019 - Ordered off the list at a sushi restaurant in NYC. Mark-up on the high side as with all NYC places. This was totally fine. It's a white wine. Medium bodied (if totally left to my own devices I might have gone more riesling on a hot summer day but was trying to find a middle ground with the chard drinkers). Some roundness. Some acid. No flavors that really jumped out at me. Fairly straightforward. Not bad, but not something I'd seek out either.

May 20, 2019 - Light pale clear, almost colorless, light body, aromas of floral, yellow apple, slight citrus note, clean and crisp, moderately dry, medium acidity and medium alcohol at 12%.

February 16, 2019 - Winebar [4 Whites, 8 Reds, & 3 *shared* bottles] from 02/15/19 (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA): From young, 100% Cortese grapes grown in the "high hills of Rovereto"; "Vinified traditionally, with temperature control;"

N: Closed; Creamy lemons with minerals underneath?

P: LM, poss Med, body; RNDISH entry with NICE, almost wtish frt off-set by an acidity which fairly seamlessly evolves into a LONG, BALANCED, tangy/swt finish with an OCCASIONAL *hint* of a very, VERY slight bitterness. VERY nicely done for now & through '21? 11.5% ABV; My EXC-. 91 pts Suckling. [This vendor's $15.95 puts it in the top 1/2 of wine-searcher's listings.]

February 5, 2019 - Italian Wine Scholar Class at the Texas Wine School. Pale lemon with a slight copper hue. The nose is clean, medium in intensity, with aromas of white flowers, green herbs (tarragon), yellow apple. The nose opens up nicely with a little time. No oak. The palate is dry, with medium (+) acidity, medium alcohol (12%) and a slight phenolic bitterness on the finish. This is a flavorful, balanced wine, with medium (+) flavor intensity and length. It is drinking well now and will certainly last for another year or two. At $18, this is a really good value from an iconic Gavi producer.
