October 24, 2023 - This is a wine that you need to be an old Bordeaux drinker to really enjoy. With a great ullage, my excitement was heightened the moment the cork was pulled. Despite a not particularly aromatic nose, the fruit on the palate was intact, boasting notes of red cherries and redcurrants over the course of the hour and a half it was open for. The mid-palate was dominant as leather and cedar shifted this wine into a tertiary profile, showing off the prowess of this cru bourgeois château for its age. With a short finish that was dominated by licorice and hints of pencil shavings and mushrooms, this wine was absolutely still showing. Enjoyable on the night.

September 23, 2023 - This bottle has seen better days. Slightly tired and passed peak but still drinkable. Interesting experience.
