March 10, 2023 - Hafliðasmakk, án Hafliða og þó. (Hlíðarás 10): Seinna vínið frá Hafliða.
Mjög dökkur litur. Þung og höfug lykt. Fínleg. Dökk ber, sulta og sveskjur. Kökubökunarkrydd, bökunardropar og vanilla.
Á tungunni: Bláber, mynta, eikartónar og líka brenndar nótur. Fantagott vín.
Þarna vorum við aðeins að vandræðast með hvort þetta gæti verið malbec. Myntan gerði eiginlega útslagið um það að við sættumst á cabernet sauvignon frá Kaliforníu. Við komumst nú ekki nær í staðsetningu en það. Paso Robles er líka ekki auðvelt fyrir okkur sem smökkum sárasjaldan vín frá þeim slóðum. -

July 11, 2022 - So much earth mixed with the dark fruit in this bottle. Nice medium tannins and a really long full finish complete the wine. The strong earth presence though is what carries through and makes the wine complex and really excellent.
