January 12, 2024 - “Loring Purple” in color, of course. The nose is distinctive with a definite sweetness. Notes of sweet cherry, black cherry, cola, perhaps some Dr. Pepper, a bit of cranberry, all continuing through the rather long finish. Bright on the palate, the wine has a distinct sweetness, but not at all cloying. The acidity is spot on and holds the wine in balance. This is distinctly different from other Loring Pinots. I email with Brian who confirmed that it does have a higher RS than his other wines, coming in at 1.9g/liter. Whoa! Light sediment. 14.3% alc. With assorted cheeses including Stilton with country ham and crusty bread. This paired well with the Stilton and will pair well with Thai and other pan-Asian fare. 01.12.24. Recommended.

May 29, 2022 - Typical stunning, voluptuous, fruit forward Loring treatment of PN. Fantastic single vineyard.

January 4, 2022 - PnP'd, red fruit on the nose immediate on pouring. Tart with very fine tannins, medium finish, and seems to be getting longer as I drink. Very enjoyable.

July 2, 2021 - Bright red fruits for days on the nose. Strawberries and raspberries with a slight menthol note. Nice medium acid, and low tannins. Feels de-stemmed or minimal % of whole clusters. Clearly from the central coast with its luscious and clean red fruit flavour profile. Quite approachable now, though it's all primary flavours and fruit forward. A few years in bottle would likely help.

    Closure: Stelvin
    Decant: 2h
