August 28, 2020 - Really attractive nose of sweet, ripe black cherry or plum; smokey and meaty too. Bit of baked fruit (my 4-year old daughter thought it smelled like raisins!).
Juicy plate, fruit-driven with those cherries again, but with a well balanced backbone. Fresh acidity and nice, grippy tannins. There's a bit of alcohol on the finish (it is from McLaren Vale after all), but nothing obtrusive.
Lovely wine. Not the longest or most complex, but eminently drinkable.

January 22, 2020 - Finally got a chance to try this long-awaited gem of a wine. And yes, it fucking delivered. Stunning varietal expression - aromatic, soft, but plush at the same time. Medium-bodied. Refreshing, crunchy character. Not much depth, but that's not really the point here.
