July 26, 2023 - Deep ruby color, beginning to fade on the edge.
On the nose: Plums, raspberry reduction, dark cherries and blueberries, wet dirt and oak, like an old barn door. A bit over oaked.
The palate has medium + tannins, well integrated and sandy. Mid palate sees minty notes coming through, but it is fairly hollow. The finish is medium + length with dark chocolate shavings and more green notes. It ends with medium + acidity for a juicy mouth watering finale.
Very good simple wine. Is quite broad and interesting, but lacks real depth and top level complexity. The alcohol comes out a bit hot.
