September 25, 2013 - Ordered at French Laundry- in a perfect place now. Very light with perfect balance. Good finish. Almost a sense of weightlessness. Good value.

March 15, 2013 - Super light and fruity. A tiny bit of oak steel and bitter citrus. Really refreshing. Lovely example of this grape. Glad it wasn't over-oaked and over-worked. Let the grape, acidity, and freshness shine through.

March 15, 2013 - S1 visits Dallas! Opening Cantata. (Urbano Cafe, Dallas, Texas): WIML91

Tasted non blind. Opened and served immediately.

Yellow color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of nutmeg, creme fraiche and wet stones. Flavors of lemon, nutmeg, cinnamon and tangy yellow apples. Medium to bright acidity, medium to full bodied. Drink over the short term.

July 18, 2012 - After one day of air - Creamy, floral, semi-tropical nose with pineapple/ coconut and lemon meringue laced in. Well balanced. Rich, dense, weighty, extremely tasty wine - lengthy finish - with lingering citrus flavors, meringue, fresh cream, and green apple. Very satisfying, would love to drink it again.

September 5, 2010 - Green tinged gold. A nice whiff of clean white fruits on the nose. Tangy, mineral driven on the palate with good acid/fruit balance. This opened up nicely over 2 hours and showed that earthy minerality that I like in Chassagnes. Not overly complex but good drinking right now and I think a few more years of improvement.
