  January 2, 2015 - This bottle was seriously excellent. Cork barely tinged. Lovely, clear but dark garnet. Enticing aromas. Exceptional balance. Wonderful texture. What a nice reward for waiting to drink this bottle.

  March 22, 2013 - If you are looking for a dense and heavy-handed version of Rosso di Montalcino, then you will want to look elsewhere. This bottle showed a transparent medium red with refined flavor profile accompanied by a medium/light density. Still plenty of fruit. Very beguiling. Only a slight deficiency of acidity to my taste.

  May 20, 2011 - 1 hour's air. Really lovely - and significant variation from last month. Always been powerful - 14.5% - but there is an elegant balance tonight which is really wonderful - red fruit, cherry and cranberry, very slight bitterness, fresh, cocoa powder on the nose, but greater complexity over time: some fresh mint and liquorice. Burgundian. Wonderfully made. 93
