December 2, 2023 - Incredible wine. Blueberry, black currant, anisette, fennel, Asian spice and white pepper. Always a special wine sourced from the Hudson Vineyard in Carneros.

July 22, 2023 - Good nose of dark fruits, a bit of pepper, and a touch of metal. No metal on the palate, which is dominated by blackberry and black cherry, with a pepper kick on the finish. 93-94.

January 30, 2022 - Just over 10 months since the last bottle. Welch's grape juice has moved to cherry. Cherry isn't something I normally get in Syrah, but it was the first thing my wife mentioned as well. Some blackberry and a hint of pepper on the finish. Enjoyable but could use more time as it's still evolving and headed in the right direction.

December 31, 2021 - Seventh wine in a seven course wine and food pairing NYE party.
This was an amazing Syrah! Needed every bit of 4 hours in the decanter to approach its peak (there was an awful bitter and acidic stage at 2 hours). Actually also had about 3 hours back in the bottle before serving. All I can say is WOW. Rich, deep and layered yet not heavy. So many layers of flavor. Blue and dark red fruit. Racy finish. Best syrah I've ever had from anywhere. Paired with a seared duck with plum/raspberry sauce. OMG! Glad I tried this based on glowing Jeb review. Hooked on Keplinger!2 people found this helpful Comment -
