Community Tasting Notes 11

  • Deux Chevaux Likes this wine:

June 10, 2023 - Medium ruby. Savory balsamic notes. Dark fruit, with lovely acid backbone. Elegant. Perfectly in balance — and very enjoyable over three nights.

January 1, 2023 - Candied strawberry, soap, and tobacco notes upon opening. With air the candy-like elements dissipated while the wine rounded-out. More strawberries in the mouth with sharp acidity. Slightly disjointed with the fruit dominating the earth in a less-than-harmonious way. May wait another year or two for the next one hoping for more balance.

August 6, 2022 - 30 months after the prior: Again dark fruit, savory, with a pleasant suggestion of pine needles. Beautifully balanced, with nice backbone acidity. Very enjoyable over three nights.

May 7, 2021 - It’s an interesting wine there is bright fruit, and unripe cherries, cola, strawberries and blueberries, hints of herbal notes, finishes with some acidity. The wine is complex. A-
