  April 9, 2021 - Excellent depth of fruit, dark and engaging, with a floral edge. There's some wood influence on the mid-palate that adds an exotic twist. A little on the modern side, and might be even better with some more acidity, but undoubtedly enjoyable.

  April 8, 2021 - Deeper red in colour. Darker red fruits driven nose with a note of Bay and tomato stalk. Nice clarity. Dark cherries on nose and palate as well. Quite structured and nice tannins. There is a richness here, but held in check. Good acidity and freshness for this wine. The oak is well integrated. A touch of vanilla on the nose and palate.

  January 27, 2020 - Tasted at Benvenuto Brunello NYC. Only 7,000 bottles produced. La Gerla is a fairly modern producer and while I didn't take note of how much time this spent in oak but it did have some hints in the flavor profile which was similar to the Gli Angeli but seemed more integrated ans less obvious. The wine was also a bit rounder and richer as well but slightly less bright with acidity.
