April 30, 2024 - Vey distinctive, with loads of garrigue and mostly blueberry and wild strawberry fruit. I have to say though that this wine is teetering on the brink of being hot and every time I thought "sad, it's hot" it wasn't-as if the fruit had just enough sway to dial that back in. Hold the other bottle for 5.

March 20, 2024 - A bit more elegant than the 2019 tried last weekend, which is probably partially due to additional age and vintage. Very pure, nice texture. Drinking very well at present, but quite young still and has plenty of upside.

January 5, 2024 - [This flight included the 2015 and 2016 Tours Cotes du Rhone as well as the 2012 Tours Vacqueyras]
Nose was showing very similar to the ‘15, with an additional hint of animal/musk. Palate showing a bit bigger and darker, not as balanced or restrained as the ‘15, but with more broadness and weight. Black stone fruits, smoked black plums, and burnt molasses. Still a great wine, but I preferred the elegance and lightness of the ‘15. I bet this would pair amazingly with some roasted duck and plum sauce! 92-93

January 5, 2024 - Rayas / Pignan / Fonsalette / Tours Tasting (Scottsdale, Arizona USA): This is a massive wine, on the level of most other producers Chateauneuf du Pape. And as with 2016 CdP's, it's a baby and needs time to sleep. I'd like to revisit this in 5 years.

Served as a pop and pour, in retrospect I wish I had opened it at the same time as the Rayas, Pignan, and Fonsalette wines. The 2015 did much better as a pop and pour.

December 26, 2023 - This is drinking nicely. A bit hot upon opening but it settled in with some time. Drank on Xmas eve 2023 w pork/fennel.
