December 6, 2023 - Deep, dark garnet in color. Full, forward, & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of dark cherries, blackberries & cassis with overtones of floral & earthy/dusty notes, cigar box notes of cedar & tobacco, leather, olives, anise, herbs & minty notes in the background. Medium-full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of dark cherries, blackberries & plums with cocoa, spices, herbs & minerals. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing but definitely needs additional time to develop further at which time I anticipate a higher score (97+). An indicative blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. An absolutely amazing wine!

October 29, 2023 - Tasted blind, and guessed it to be a really elegant New World Bordeaux blend. Beautiful, concentrated dark fruit powdery cocoa, fresh bread with bay leaf and rosemary, all welded together with gleaming iron backbone. We paired with grilled steak, and ascended to heaven.
