  Undergrowth, decaying leaves, soy, red furits, heme, pot pourri and dried rose petals on the nose. Fully tertiary and fading on the palate, but still with good acidity and some mature red fruited nebbiolo fruit to compliment the mostly autumnal flavors. Better with food and still enjoyable in a more academic than pleasurable mode. Still a pretty good showing for a 1960 Barolo.

  January 30, 2020 - Not bad. Very old. Some leather and spine, a bit of sherry. Pretty nice on the palate - soy and savory notes, earth and spice and a lot of dried rose. Good savory finish. Nose - 4/6, Palate - 5/6, Finish - 5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1/2 = 15/20.
