April 22, 2021 - We were surprised when we smelled a lot of yellow apple, melon and pineapple but then got a zesty dose of acidity, citrus, and a round brine note. It lingers a bit leaving a slightly salty taste. While it is good, it’s hard to justify $40 when a $20 Chablis can do, and more likely than not, outperform this wine. I’d happily drink it if offered, but I wouldn’t go out of my way again to buy another bottle.

April 11, 2021 - Popped and poured. More richness and breadth than previous vintages but the acidity is still the defining character. A lively and lithe chard. Ny favorite of the LF bottlings most years, including this one. 93-94.

April 10, 2021 - This totally hit the Chardonnay mark for me last night. We opened it to go with our beef and broccoli which worked well. It had a flint, struck match note upon opening with some earthy notes too. This seemed to offer a broader experience than previous years that went beyond the usual mineral notes. Really Enjoyable

March 27, 2021 - Great stuff. Love this producer on the style of this bottling. Crisp and lean.

February 19, 2021 - Very interesting experience with the 2018 White Hill Chardonnay. I usually prefer the Golden Slope because it presents some tropical notes versus the usually leaner mineral-driven White Hill. I was very surprised to experience tropical notes in this offering, specifically pineapple whip. It offered a bit more creaminess than any prior White Hill I have enjoyed. While still acidic, or was not as bracing as previous offerings. I really enjoyed it a great deal.
