December 31, 2023 - This was a surprising finish to 2023. My wife wanted me to grab a wine she could use a bit of in our steamed mussels on New Years Eve. I pulled this warrior out of the bottle of the bin and gave her a cup and chilled the rest. Boy, this was a very pleasant surprise. Had gained more volume and fleshiness since I last tasted. Similar pineapple and orchard fruits dominated. with some tangerine citrus flavors. It was a great surprise how good this was drinking at this point in time. Made me wish I hadn't shared with the mussels!

November 25, 2023 - Another wonderful expression of Chardonnay from Liquid Farm. Ripe white apple (honey crisp or gold rush), pineapple, and lemon cream on the nose and palate. The finish segues into hazelnut giving the wine some depth and warmth. Medium mouthfeel and good length. I suspect there is no ML. A solid, well-made Chardonnay with fruit sourced from some excellent vineyards: Clos Pepe, Kessler-Haak and La Rinconada. 13% alc. With crab soup; a beautiful pairing. 11.25.23. Recommended.

April 29, 2023 - Bright, clear, light gold in the glass. Complex aromas of orange & lime zest, quince, nutmeg, celery salt, jasmine and crushed stone. Bright citrus on the palate with very well-integrated secondary depth highlighting the salinity, mineral and spices from the bouquet. Medium-bodied, rounded and elegant, with finely integrated brightness of the acid and a firm dense texture as it finishes. Finishing with lengthy savory zesty depth. Excellent.

February 20, 2023 - This is in great spot. The first bottle I had in 2020 was very tight and had pithy bitter note on the finish. The flavor profile has really developed nicely.

This gets bigger and rounder with air, but still retains plenty of verve and citrus laden acidity to keep everything balanced.

Lime is the dominant flavor to me, complemented with stone fruit, some leesy notes, chalk and white florals. Medium bodied. Fairly long finish with more lime and a distinct herbal note, maybe chamomile or jasmine.

Feels like quality Chablis from a warm vintage.
