Community Tasting Notes 3

June 1, 2008 - Very nice! Dry at first, very drinkable right now after 30-45 minutes in the glass/decanter.

November 25, 2007 - Flavors of spicy strawberries. Very rich and meaty for a rose. Tasted next to a Spanish rose, which tasted flaccid next to this wine and was even worse with food. This wine is great on its own or pairs nicely with food, tasted with a tapas sampler with tortilla (spanish omelet), truffle cheese, and tomato bruschetta. Notes from winemaker: Rose petals, liquorices, cloves and candied red fruits on the nose with a dry, full bodied, voluptuous mouthfeel of fresh strawberries, rhubarb, and ripe red cherries in the mid-palate. The finish is a very long, rich mouthful of holiday spices and dark red raspberries. This wine is much bigger than one would expect based on outward appearance.
