Community Tasting Notes 4

February 5, 2024 - Dense, nearly opaque cranberry red color in the glass.
On the nose, aromas of ripe cherries and currents with notes of earthiness and old leather.
On the palate, dense flavor notes of the fruits noted above and edge of grainy tannins.
Acidity is OK with a slight alcoholic warm finish.
Even though this wine is 13 years old, maybe more time is needed to soften and bring it to it’s tasting potential.

November 27, 2022 - Really interesting wine that is both rustic and elegant at the same time. Bright red berry fruit aromas with hints of bay leaves, spices, violets and dried thyme. Rich and bold black cherry flavors with notes of beef jerky, tobacco and tar. Peppery finish. Nice ruby colored and medium bodied. Aging beautifully!

August 6, 2022 - 2hr decant sufficient. Tannins starting to integrate. Bright and dark fruits. Gorgeous color with structure to age but delicious now.

June 7, 2021 - Dark fruit (black cherry, blueberry), nice spice, earth, strong tannins. Lingering finish. Good acidity. Needs a few more years.
