December 29, 2009 - Light ruby color, with a tone of amber on the edge of the glass. Sort of a strawberry-cherry combination, but not strong fruit. Light tannins. Not likely to age long, so glad we got to this when we did. Went pretty well with the coq au vin we were serving, but could have used a more pronounced pinot.

July 14, 2009 - The wine had a decent nose of cherries and some spice. The palate was lackluster- I called it thin, but Kelly said it was just unremarkable. It had some cherry fruit flavor, really no secondary flavors and the length on the palate was short. We had it with a nice salmon filet and it did compliment the fish, but a wine with more power would have satisfied better. Not my favoirtie Pinot Noir, but it was relatively cheap.

July 6, 2009 - I had a very good experience with this wine, excellent value. I included this wine in three-way Pinot Noir challenge on my blog, Corks and Caftans. The other wines were the 2006 Bookster Q and the 1999 Joseph Drouhin Beaune Clos de Mouches. If you have any interest, here is the link:

March 3, 2009 - A light ruby in the glass, the nose features cherry, cranberry, and asian spices. The palate was medium-bodied, with similar characteristics of the nose, and with a hint of well-integrated tannins. The most suprising feature of this wine was just how much residual sugar it has; it is definitely off-dry. All in all, matched our grilled salmon pretty well, though decidedly middle-of-the-road. My search for the perfect everyday pinot noir continues.
