March 3, 2024 - 1 hr decant. Anise on the nose. Sour cherry, anise, forest floor on the palate. Lacks pop on the mid-palate. Complex but missing intensity and finish.
No hurry to drink it up, but I also don’t see this getting a whole lot better either.

July 18, 2022 - Just a quick note. Since last year's tasting, this has improved somewhat. The color is beginning to be more brick than ruby. Still takes a good two hour airing to open, but the edges are smoothing out. Tannins are softening, acid is still providing a firm ground for the fruit. Nice with or without food.

January 17, 2022 - Bright red fruit burst, hints of anise seed and licorice shining through. Hard to get much else today. Will come back in a day or two. Day 3, this is a special, special wine. Obviously a firm tannic presence at this young age, well-balanced with acidity and fruit, even a hint of musk and dust here. Here’s to hoping there will be bottles of the vintage available in 10 years.

September 4, 2021 - Pnp. Red fruits. Citrus. Pine. Lighter bodied. A good food wine. It’s not really my thing.

July 21, 2021 - Pine, mint, orange, tar and redcurrant on the nose - lifted well with air, showing even more pretty red fruit and floral notes. Cooling profile to the palate, with bright acidity and lithe fruit. Has a well balanced tannin profile, I think setting it up for good development over the next 10 years. Happy with the value for money here.
