July 9, 2015 - Nose of earthy funk, mushrooms, black cherry, tobacco, spices. Tannins have mellowed quite nicely. Smooth and velvety. Black cherry, leather, smoked mushroom. Assertive, but with finesse. 5+ years head of it.

May 20, 2010 - Attractive nose of malt, spices, leather, truffles. Good tannin structure, tannins quite smooth. Finish is rather short.

February 7, 2009 - fine mature example of Madiran; some tannins remaining that give the wine a fierce backbone, the nose smells very good, some oak but leather impressions as well; quite good; holding well.
