December 8, 2022 - In a modern style.. a lot of oak influence.. had some beautiful herbal aromatics and a soft texture but I couldn't help imagining the whole time how much more beautiful it would be without all the oak

September 21, 2021 - Italian Wine Scholar Class at the Texas Wine School. Iconic wine now made by the daughter of one of the original Barolo Boys. Decanted. Deep ruby/garnet, surprisingly intense for a Barolo. M aromas of tart red currant, black plum, wild roses, ink, licorice, pine forest floor and some baking spice. Aged 24 mos in used French barrique. Dry, with M+ acidity, M+ to high, chalky tannins and high alcohol (15%, but seems a bit lower). Full-bodied, with pronounced flavor intensity and great length, with ripe black cherry, black plum and licorice dominating. Barely in its optimal drinking window, it showed better five days after being decanted...
