March 18, 2021 - Paid $70. Worth every penny. A very very nice chardonnay. The oak is just right. A bit of sweetness to balance the slight tartness of the oak. Excellent.

April 10, 2020 - Did a virtual tasting of a few TOR wines with Tor himself and a few close wine friends.
When TOR recommended opening a 2018 Hyde Chardonnay, I thought they were crazy. I normally get ripping acidity from most Hyde chardonnays, emphasizing their need for some age. However, I have to admit, TOR was right in that this is accessible early. Wow! One of the best Hyde chardonnays I’ve had, and it’s going to further improve. Copious amounts of tropical aromatics (mango, white peach, passion fruit), with sea salt and honeysuckle. Nervy and energetic in profile. Good acidity, and a creaminess up front. Lemon cream, orange blossom, underripe peach, and sea salt on the entry but a mineral streak comes through down the middle showing crushed rock and even some oyster shell at the finish. Delicious.
