December 9, 2023 - Deep, rich purple. Smell and first taste it’s still a little closed, even after being open for an hour. Rich full fruit flavors, some dark cherry. Not a lot of florals here, but nicely concentrated without being overly so. Nice wine.

May 26, 2022 - Deep ruby color with some purple. Explosive, ripe, bur also with the typical elegance and freshness here too. Notes of super ripe black cherries, plums, crushed violets, sweet spices, some graphitey minerality, pepper, a touch of cedar wood. It's medium-full bodied, with medium+ tannin that ia exceptionally silky and some medium-high vein of acidity that is well hidden under the wealth of fruit. Excellent. A more flamboyant rendition od this great Volnay with many many years ahead.
