February 11, 2024 - Forward and spicy plums and mulberries, vanilla oak, lavender and sweet licorice on the nose and palate. Powerful entry with energetic elements, full-bodied mid-palate with some bite at the edges. Finish is clean but somewhat chalky. This needs a few more years for the tannins to fully integrated into the structure.

January 28, 2024 - Dense, mouth filling fruits and tannin, moderately long finish. Opened a couple of hours but would have opened even earlier as it developed while we were drinking it. Has residual aging potential.

January 2, 2024 - A bit disappointing bottle. Not a lot of bouquet and not a lot on the palette either. Very decent wine and very smooth with very little negative taste. Very low acidity and very low tannins. Perhaps the bottle is past its prime?

December 10, 2023 - I had hoped that this would have resolved. But no, still harsh and tannic on day 1 with a lengthy slow ox and rest in the glass, smoothed out a bit on day 2 but still lacking. Drink after it’s 10th birthday.
