February 11, 2018 - What a delightful surprise. From a batch being put up for auction, this bottle was culled because the foil was broken and there was seepage. Bottle was too dark to determine fill level. Extracted the crumbling cork with a Durand and decanted for two hours. Color was a light orange, reminding me more of a sherry, and giving me more cause to worry. However, the nose was floral, fragrant and elegant. Rich, sweet mouth coating of luscious figs, raisins, red cherries and orange peel. Great balance, and the finish goes on forever.
