March 3, 2024 - So elegant and mistaken as a Pinot noir, unless you pay attention to higher level of grainy tannins, bit of sweetness at the finish, top RDM with no hesitation

February 4, 2024 - I didn’t give it enough time to open, which is a shame because this is a lovely wine. On the nose - fresh snapped twigs, bright red fruit (tart raspberry), a light hint of smoke.

Black licorice, leather, nicely integrated tannins

November 20, 2023 - Another outstanding showing. Was even better than my last bottle, likely owing to the longer 90+ minute splash decant. 94+

October 26, 2023 - Wow- what a difference a longer decant makes! Splashed decanted and gave it 60-90 minutes of air. This was singing, with a full bouquet of red cherries, tobacco, chocolate and some herbaceous notes. So smooth on the palate. Maintained good acidity and structure, with pleasant fine tannins (held up well to a dry aged prime rib). Wonderfully complex, and the finish went on and on. Definitely seemed well beyond your typical Rosso, and bested many Brunellos I've had in the past. Such a pleasure.

October 13, 2023 - Missing the fruit sweetness I loved so much on the 2018.
