Community Tasting Notes 9

  • Outplaying Likes this wine:

April 21, 2024 - Lighter bodied and somewhat translucent. Plenty of flavor though with tart cherry and floral notes. The kids all liked it.

April 20, 2024 - Served by the glass at King, NYC. Very correct baby barbaresco. Just lovely to be offered a glass of something nice.

April 19, 2024 - Transparent garnet color. Powerful aromas of cherry, mint, leather, and an earthy/woodsy aroma. On the palate there is so much fresh and dried cherry, tobacco, leather, cinnamon, and a long finish that wraps up with mint and a crisp mineral note. This is medium bodied (gorgeously so for the vintage) with medium+/high acidity, and medium+ tannins that build elegantly through the very long finish. Wouldn’t guess this is just a Rosso if tasted blind.

March 28, 2024 - Definitely a baby Barbaresco/Barolo. Cherry, herbs and mineral. Soft structure and made to drink early.

March 23, 2024 - Totally agree with the other notes. This is very light in color but smells like Barolo, with a pleasant chock of tannin leading into cherry fruit. Excellent. May grab more of this, but will be very excited for the '19-'21 versions.
