Blackberry, blackberry jam, charred wood & tobacco on nose. Similar flavor profile (ex. charred wood) on palate. Full body, medium acidity, high tannins (from grapes & oak treatment) and long finish. Very enjoyable - a big wine but it has the structure to keep this from flabbiness. It held up well overnight under a vacu-vin. 93+/-

November 12, 2017 - Vin chocolaté de type moderne, avec des effluves de noix de coco, une rondeur amenée par l’alcool. Concu dans un style flatteur, mûr, simple, et racoleur. C’est pas mauvais, mais pour tout dire, il m’ennuie profondément! Je déplore les notes ronflantes habituelles que récoltent ces types de vins ambitieux, dénués d'esprit. 85 pts
