March 15, 2023 - Consistent with prior note. This wine is very Cayuse-like. Love it!

October 8, 2022 - Opened and decanted 3+ hours ahead of seared ribeye with garlic-butter-herb glaze. Dark purple-crimson color. The nose brings a complex mix of purple lavender, barnyard, forest floor, wild herbs, crushed granite, and blueberry cobbler. The palate is full, round, textured, and tangy, bringing a lovely core of deep blue fruit followed by tart, red cherries and pronounced savory notes of beef brisket, mushrooms, dried leather, olives, and some cinnamon sticks into a tannic finish. This is still in its youth but cuts through a good steak nicely. I also found it leaning toward the N. Rhone style - lighter on its feet, high acidity, performed nose - though the oak treatment ultimately distinguishes it as new world. Drink 2024-2034. Technical score: 93. Enjoyment score: 93.

April 22, 2022 - Really impressive. Blind, I’d readily peg this as something from Cayuse or No Girls. Modest funk, layers of interest, steady finish. Nice acid. Popped and poured. Drinking well. Wish I had another bottle or two.

June 23, 2021 - Popped this for my June bottle in the Washington Wine Report Washington Syrah 2021 Challenge. Might be a bit early to enjoy this one fully, but it was still quite good. The wine was decanted an hour before sampling. Lovely Rocks Funk coming through on both the nose and in the mouth. Blue fruit, tobacco, olives, hints of wet rock, and a lovely finish of blueberry pie. Has some serious upside with additional cellaring. Drink 2022-2037.
