November 10, 2023 - Just lovely wine, with lots of primary fruit still and also lovely mature tones. Mature cherries, tobacco, spices, oak and mature strawberries. High acidity but balanced, matures more with some air.
Wasn’t really pleased with the 2012 last year so thus wasn’t really keen on opening this one. -

June 3, 2023 - Enjoyed this wine even more than its more famous neighbour of the same producer. With some air this wine delivers lovely red fruit, medium body and balanced structure.
On this night, served between champagne and a youthful super Tuscan. The Cubillo stole the show. Enough confidence to stand solo and the grace (and acidity) to make our bites taste that much better. The wine that followed was more complex, posing the question: “are we begging for too much complexity in our lives?”

April 23, 2023 - Really a perfect bottle. Other reviews are spot on with the oakiness but it is fine here. Perfect with food and great by itself. Drinking great right now but certainly not at the end of its life.
