March 30, 2024 - Had it breathing for 1 hour before pouring. It worked well with a Sichuan dinner. Held up w the spices and flavours. Fruit and roundness scored well as a combination and the pleasure of the wine.

February 18, 2024 - After a two hour decant, this was a very enjoyable off-vintage LLC that has nicely developed. Side by side with Chateau Latour (its first growth neighbour) I preferred the LLC. Tannins are very fine and do not get in the way. Acidity makes you want to come back for more. Just the right balance of juiciness, sweetness and underlying classic structure. Blackberries, dark cherries, cedar, some graphite, but also a tropical element often missing from LLC. Very nice.

September 16, 2023 - An easy afternoon with close friends (@ PdV): The most youthful of the wines of this evening with beautiful oak and cedar and dark berries and also some sweet impressions. Same impressions on the palate, juicy dark berries, graphite, firm but round tannin and juicy, fresh acidity as well as a pleasant touch of sweetness. A complex and mouth full of delicious wine. Powerful and still in its young maturity stage. With some more years of cellaring it will show even more finesse. So happy to have a bottle…..but not for the very short term ;-) 95 – 96+
