June 9, 2021 - Medium garnet in color with moderate intensity. Asparagus, tomato leaf, black cherry, vanilla, bell pepper, rubber, black currant, raisin, prune, raspberry preserves, and boxwood. High tannins, high acid, medium body, and moderate plus alcohol. 90/100

January 9, 2021 - Starting to go over the hill. Fruit fading. Tertiary notes of tobacco and forest floor present, but sour finish.

October 15, 2020 - Ripe blackberry, black cherry, blackcurrant. Cloves, eucalyptis, mint. Full bodied with a beautiful structure that is still standing firm in 2020. An elegant wine. Tannins are mostly gone. The finish lingered on my palate for almost a minute. This wine is at its peak right now; but definitely drink it now!

March 31, 2019 - Since the last review on this wine was from 2011, I thought I'll give an update of this one (tasted in 2019). This wine is still alive and at its peak. Old-style Napa cab, very beautiful fruits, silky tannin, and balanced structure.

July 2, 2011 - Ditto tasting notes from 6/3 with a couple more thoughts. Wine has reached it peak plateau. Drank this one with a simple steak and baked potato. Last bottle.
Great example of mature California cab, but unlikely to be confused for an equally mature Bordeaux.
