  March 21, 2024 - This is getting better with age. A lighter style, minty, with some eucalyptus steady refosco from Matthiasson. Bright and crisp and sturdy. Lovely.

  February 11, 2021 - Rich purple color. Short 15 mins in the decanter and slight funk gave way to a nose full of strong herbal and grassy, earthy notes. Hint of red fruit. Medium body, nice acidity and gentle tannins. As said below, a characteristic and very enjoyable bottle from Matthiasson.

  January 18, 2021 - This has little resemblance to an Italian Refosco, and has every resemblance to the incredibly subtle and creative stamp Matthiasson always puts on their wines. Dark fruits (plum, cherry, blackberry) with some lively herbal notes (mint, thyme) are balanced by just the right amount of acidity and tannins. A simply beautiful wine to look at and consume! We think it will continue to mature and age - at least until 2025 if not beyond.

  November 18, 2020 - This is delicious right out of the bottle. Fruit forward but with enough earthiness to balance the fruit and create a very satisfying experience for a weeknight Pizza Party. We love Matthiasson. Such sophisticated approaches to wine!
