December 2, 2020 - It’s not uncommon for Girardin whites to be incredibly delicious short term, before they show oxidation or other varieties of demise. At one point, I stopped buying Girardin because there were so many bad bottles. There are exceptions, of course, as this is Burgundy, where variation is sport. This bottle, procured upon release and cellar stored, is damn gorgeous. Nose shows ripe green apple, sweet lemon cream, buttery white chocolate, ripe persimmon, and smokey oak. It is richly textured, long, and remarkably fresh. A deep core of sweet fruit, some pineapple, coconut, and buttery pear pastry, framed by moderate oak and terrific acidity. I’m overwhelmed by its quality. At $40-60 a bottle, if you can find good provenance, it’s worth buying 6 bottles to drink over the next year. That’s MY plan. Superb w roast chicken or grilled veal chop.

September 1, 2018 - Oxed. Mildly initially, but within 10 minutes it became darker and seriously unpleasant.

June 27, 2017 - Another very nice drinking experience , this bottle was a bit more full body than the last . Drink up .

October 18, 2015 - Oxed. Not badly initially, first glass drinkable but impaired. But the oxidised taste got worse, and the rest had to be chucked.
