May 16, 2021 - Crushed rock, white flowers, papaya and blanched almonds on the nose. Citrus leads on the palate, lemon zest but with air it softens, more like lemon curd. Ripen pear, almonds and a subtle note of fresh herbs run in the background. The wine has soften since last summer, the acidic backbone remains but it's much prettier than a year ago. Excellent.

We drank through two new 19s a few weeks back (Stormy Morning and Rock Block), I feel like that vintage will play to Bryan's winemaking so I'm anticipating the 19 Little Hells may be even better.

January 13, 2021 - The purity of fruit is the star of the show here, featuring vivid flavors of Jonathan apple and lemon throughout. Acidity could be a touch higher, but there's ample minerality and a touch of malo that feels in balance. Burgundian to me, and another example of a fine Chardonnay from Oregon.

July 15, 2020 - Apples, almonds, and flinty aromatics with an explosive palate and finish. So good!

June 13, 2020 - Brace yourself for a big surprise with this Chardonnay. This is truly a world-class offering for a standard price.

Nice light straw color, vibrant clarity.

First whiff is facemelting. Absolutely leaps out of the glass with a cornucopia of apricot, lime zest, pear fruit, flint, coriander, and crispy jalapeƱo core.

Layers peel off as it breathes, and deconstruct the concoction as note after note drift on by. This is a stunning wine and wow, what a pleasant surprise.

The acid is zippy and lively but not overly bracing. The overall balance is utterly flawless. Crushed rock minerals leave a lingering taste on the long, citrus-driven finish.

Suitable for the cellar, but singing at full volume from the very get-go.
