  December 19, 2014 - A Fine Night at La Belle Vie (La Belle Vie, Mpls): From Magnum. Small pour over a few minutes. Medium gold color. Cépage : Chardonnay : 50% ; Savagnin : 50%. Very oxidative style, sherried, raisin, citrus notes, bitter nuts. Would have worked better in another setting as it was tough to follow after the d'Yquem.   April 23, 2011 - Big, complex, developed on the palate. Sherry notes, nuts, raisins, apricots. A great wine on it's own if you like this kind of oxidized wines.

  August 4, 2007 - Light golden to yellow straw colour. Rich, complex nose, with fino-like oxidized character and very predominant walnuts. Bone dry palate, somewhat bitter mid, yeasty cask character and a really long aftertaste of dried figs, with a slight heat. According to this sample, 2002 seems to be as fine a vintage in Jura as in Burgundy. Interesting and unique wine. Try with salty cashew nuts, jamon serrano with olives, or christmas nuts with figs.
