December 25, 2008 - i thought this tasted like an oregon pinot, but, of course, i was wrong. 14.3% alcohol. it's thick in the midpalate, and displayed a lot of earthy, almost muddy qualities, with strong notes of asian spice and black fruit. smooth, yet heavy mouthfeel and a good finish. i like my pinots to have more delicate nuances.

April 29, 2007 - Pinot Days in NYC 07 - LONG (javits center): same style but even richer, black cherry, tobacco leaf? very ripe - needs acid
