September 1, 2022 - Translucent red with some browning. Slightly spicy nose. Cherries on the palate, bit harsh, bit of heat (14.1% ABV). Fine tannins, harsh acidity, out of balance. Finishes long with muddy cherry, strawberry notes. Well past prime.

July 16, 2022 - Little blast from the past

2006 Loring Wine Company Aubaine Vineyard Pinot Noir. Alc 14.1%
Still dark and dense with great fruit structure. Great tart cherry in tbe middle. Layers of black and red fruits. Long finish. Minimal tannins

    Time has kind to this

November 12, 2020 - Pretty poopy nose upon opening. SL said it smelled like a farm. But it eventually blew off some nice black cherry, plum, and soy notes. Finish was a little tart though.

December 21, 2015 - Opened and poured. Pale ruby to clear. Seemingly light bodied, but fleshing out, this wine had a harsh acidic effervescence right off the bat. Somewhat bracing and detracting, I would think possible contamination or way off-balance. With food, this acidity actually helped cut though the delightful chili we had, and by the end the wine was drinking ok. Will revisit the last bit on day two, but overall the wine was merely good.
