April 13, 2024 - Our first bottle of this since 2010, and once again this bottle was a testament to the conditions in our cellar, and although this is slightly pasted it's peak, it was absolutely deliciious, and the only issue was the cork simply fell apart as I tried to gently get it out, forcing me to decant with a coffee filter to get rid of the cork bits, etc. - Dark, with brick red, ambering rim, medium bodied with similar notes of black fruit, leather, cigar box, cassis, earth and vanilla on the nose, solid backbone, interesting and complex, much softer now, sweet/smooth on the palate with outstanding length, beautiful now and likley won't get any better than this (92 Points).

September 3, 2021 - Pronounced nose intensity with notes of mushroom, savoury, black fruits, cassis, cedar, spices. Medium+ acidity and high tannin. Nose > palate. Nose is excellent. Decanting will help soften the tannin. Decanted 1hour. Ex Chateau, bottle condition and provenance is excellent. Drank during Assemblage 2020 dinner.

March 21, 2021 - Past it's peak and more tertiary flavors than fruit. Prune and fig, leather, dried tobacco leaf. Still enjoyable but I can only imagine how good this one was in its peak!

September 26, 2020 - Medium red with bricking, plum, oak present, medium bodied, lively acidity, with air had nice elegance to the wine, decent Pomerol
