Community Tasting Notes 4

September 23, 2008 - Paired with antipasti of Speck and funghi in olive oil. One of the most floral, enticing noses I've ever encountered from a Gewurztraminer. Youthful, yet exploding with tropical fruits, orange zest, miscellaneous spices, a touch of anise, very interesting flavors all-together. Medium bodied, very nicely balanced with just enough acidity on the finish to keep the palate tingling for more. Very nicely done. foodandwineblog.com

July 20, 2008 - A fabulous, age worthy Gewürztraminer. Full bodied. Outrageous nose heavy with scent of garden flowers (tuber rose, rugosa) in the mid-day warmth, and exotic fruits. You certainly do not have to drink this wine to fall in love with it. Eventually you can resist it no more and then the taste -- heavenly! Floral, lychee, honey, spice. Moderately heavy mouth feel. Some acidity on the finish. I snagged it all!

November 21, 2007 - Fabulous Gewürztraminer! White flowers start on the nose and remains through the long finish. Tropical fruits. Very faintly sweet turing to a pleasant, dry acidity. A bit of oily weight. Drink now or hold. The nicest Gewürztraminer I have had in quite some time. Cork. (D5, F 6.5; Pine)
