  July 10, 2023 - Outstanding, with lightness and power alternating. I get red fruit, maybe both cherry and strawberry, with a solid earth backing. Keeps developing over time and will probably continue to improve.

  Opened after reading that some of the 2018 Goodfellows were in a nice early window.
  
  Translucent ruby. Reticent, yet complex aromas with impressions of red cherries, raspberries, roast pigeon (yes, I know what it smells like), wood spice, moss, and a hint of aloe leaf. With more time in the glass, more floral aromas including rose petals come to light and intertwine with the red berry fruit notes. Weightless and silky on the palate, with juicy flavors of black cherry, plum, black tea leaves, and floral stems, with fine-grained tannins and fresh acidity lingering on the finish. Feels like this wine has a lot more potential, will hold for another 10 years.

  February 2, 2023 - Gorgeous light ruby color on this wine - truly gem-like in clarity and crispness. Nose gives out forest floor, bramble and raspberry, , touch of eucalyuptus. After a couple hours the wine fleshes out with this gorgeous silky texture - truly what stands out most in this beautiful wine. More crunchy red berry and currant on the palate, a stemmy quality (is it whole cluster?), gentle but strong transition to a medium long finish - finishes clean, crisp, nice acidity. Beautiful.

  December 6, 2022 - Pale ruby. Strawberries and cedar on the nose. On the palate high acidity, medium alcohol medium tannin. Leads with vegetal notes, some under ripe red fruits on the finish. Definitely reflects the cool climate.

  November 21, 2022 - Removed approx 2.5 ounces and let the bottle slow ox for 1 hour before the 1st glass was poured. The bottle was consumed over 2 days, with the 1st day being open approximately 5 hours and stored over night in a Eurocave 2.0. Day 1 stem used was a Sensory and day 2 was a Grassl Cru.
  
  The wine evolved in a positive direction over the hours of consumption with the best glasses the last of night 1 and my glass on night 2 showing the beat of all.
  
  The nose was floral with red fruits, earth and spices. The palate was initially high in acidity but the acidity mellowed and integrated a bit over time and it was very pleasant by the tail end of consumption. In addition to the medium(+) acidity. There were flavors of cherries and red berries with a distinct spice note. Initially, the body was very light but it gained weight and complexity over time. There were some medium(-) tannins that poked through once the acidity initiated a bit.
  
  The wine was enjoyable but it took time with slow exposure to air to truly show itself. The initial glass would have been a 90/91 with it improving over time and ending with the last glass at a 93. The structure is there to benefit from midterm to long-term cellaring and should have better balance with more time in the cellar. This wine may shutdown in the future and it may shutdown with a long traditional decant. If drinking in the near future I suggest a long slow ox or maybe a double decant.
