Community Tasting Notes 7

November 21, 2016 - There is orange/mandarin marmelade on the nose, however on the palate, the fruit is green and white notably with marks of apple. Closed on the first day, much more expressive on day 2. Precise and focused palate, good freshness, less complex than the 2003 Font de Michelle Blanc. Works really well with goat cheeses from the local farmers market. Will keep for another 5 years at least.

April 18, 2014 - With the new, clean (and boring) label. A very nice surprise as this is still fresh and flowery on the nose and the fruit is sufficiently restrained to keep everything in check. White and green tinted fruit complemented by spices and just a hint of honey and nuts. Went very well with with a selection of goat cheeses.

June 25, 2011 - Rather closed, perhaps due to being 5 yrs? Still not ver offensive. Actually, performed quite well together with a poached cod and hollandaise sauce.

April 21, 2011 - Deep and intense white wine. Many mineral flavours and some "earthiness" - but in a very pleasant way.

April 26, 2008 - with a nose of grilled bread, walnuts and a hint of honey, the mounth is quite mineral with some refreshing citrus and a hint of greeness, but overall very good wine!
