November 28, 2022 - straddles 89/90--structure is 92-93--refined, elegant with a lot of finesse...flavor profile is okay but missing complexity and intensity and a little bit too much bell pepper and flabbiness...

July 5, 2022 - The colour of this is where the definition of purple comes from. Brilliant, inky dark glorious purple.
Aromas : Strong this one is. Dark berries, plums, boysenberry. Almost a grapey aroma as well. Dusty and big aromas. Fresh smelling, with chocolate and herbs, spices on the finish.
Flavours follow aromas. Borders on almost a fruit bomb, sweet berry fruit. It is massive, there is a streak of acidity that whips it into place. Definitely fruit driven. Still sharp ripe tannins, chewy. Not a shrinking violet wine. Drinking this way too young. Very good complexity though ... herbs, saltiness on finish. Spices as well if you can cut through the fruit. A definite berry liqueur and slight thickness to the wine. Full bodied with the necessary thickness and concentration. -

September 27, 2021 - At its best this has a nice elegant refined way about it...but it's inconsistent and doesn't have enough complexity and drinkability for me to score higher
