October 24, 2023 - Totally lacking in structure and tannins, disjointed mouthfeel and worse of all.. a very short finish.

Some hints of tea on the nose, but overall this is one forgettable wine!

I think I have one more in the cellar but can't seem to find it.. thank goodness!

July 1, 2022 - Gradevole leggerezza al naso. Al palato struttura e corpo ci sono. Equilibrio quasi raggiunto, tannini eleganti e ben amalgamati. Caldo, secco, di persistenza media, fine. Piacevole.

June 15, 2022 - Delas' Châteauneuf-du-Pape Haute Pierre is typically a blend of 90% Grenache and 10% Syrah. I suspect that this is the case with respect to the 2018 bottling, which is a deep ruby wine that is rich on the red fruit side. Raspberries, red currants and blood oranges are flanked with Provençal herbs, licorice and loamy earth. Full-bodied, softly oaked and with excellent freshness, it wraps its flavors with relatively light sweet tannins and alcohol (14.5%) that flies under the radar. With a dense mid-palate and lengthy back end, this is a winner in every sense of the word, but I would not anticipate it becoming anything better beyond it's tenth birthday. This particular bottle was Vinturi-decanted and allowed two hours prior to tasting. It seemed to be at plateau when initially tasted. Drink now-2028.

March 30, 2022 - 30032022 - private dinner with Chef W. Paired with Roasted Local Duck breast with Orange sauce. Young & bright ruby red pour. Candied berries with green bell pepper notes. Palate however is disjointed and tannins is dull. Once popped, decant for 30mins and drink immediately. Do not leave in the glass for too long. Drink this in its youth now
