  August 30, 2020 - Drank alongside the 2001, the 1993 is more evolved, complex with cedar notes, yet still with a solid core of dark fruits, cassis and blackberry, softened tannins, good finish.

  May 28, 2018 - After 25 years still bing cherry red licorice on the nose ... hint of peach? Slight metallic aftertaste at first but goes away completely after opening up for 15 minutes. Paired with quince paste to really bring out the fruit. Balanced, well integrated, but not super deep or complex on the finish - a hint of tannins still remaining. Short aftertaste but very pleasant. Definitely still in drinking window (which is nuts) but drink soon. So excited and pleased with how this turned out.

  September 13, 2014 - Beautifully mature and complex. I'd say it is drinking perfectly now, but could still go several more years. Sadly, this was my last bottle.

  Tasted July 15, 2006 at an offline. Served from Magnum. Opened and served immediately in a Riedel Vinum Cabernet glass. Dark garnet color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of cedar, white pepper, melted red licorice and dried herbs. Flavors of Bing cherries, red berries, red licorice and red cherries. Medium acidity, medium to firm tannins. Can be drank now with decanting or should hold for a while. Would be interesting to taste this out of 750ml right now. No value recommendation.
