July 4, 2020 - Deep ruby. Aromas of medium plus intensity raisin, red and black cherries, black plums, tamarind, cedar. On the palate the wine is dry with medium plus acidity, medium fine ripe tannins, medium alcohol, medium plus body and a medium plus finish of spice and cedar. The flavors are of pronounced intensity with ripe jammy fruit, raisin, red and black cherries, black plums, tamarind, cedar with a medicinal bitter quality mid palate. The wine is good demonstrating complexity on the palate with fresh and dried berries, stone fruit, spice, oak. There is intensity on the nose and palate and the finish is medium and pleasant. However the wine lacks balance of the acidity with tannins and alcohol and there is a medicinal bitter quality mid palate. This is a good QPR.
